Deaf and Philosophy

Humble beginnings

Filed under: Personal — deafphilosophy @ 10:56 pm

January 26, 2007 -This is my first blog posting. I am somewhat of a lurker, and never had the need to share my ideas to the world. After all, everyone has ideas, so why should my ideas be any different?  Ideas change the world. That is a loaded statement, but people’s definition of how the world changes vary. Some may say to change the world; you have to influence every single person. On the other hand, some may say to change to world; you only have to influence one person. My intent is simple; I want to make you think.  Everyone is a philosopher in their own right; everyone has their own ideas. Everyone ought to think about everything.  This blog should focus on philosophical issues in the Deaf world, which means anything Deaf related is discussed. Healthy intellectual dialogue should exist here, but even I will have to be intolerant of intolerance.

  1. Heartfelt congratulations upon your creation of this Deaf Philosopohy blogsite. We all have a humble beginning…at our birth. I will write up some philosophical thoughts and share them with you and your readers. Carl

  2. Mahalo Carl!

I admire your vlogs and would hope you continue with them. Unfortunately, if we want to reach a wider audience, it is essential to write, so I am thankful for your writing in the blog, as well. Besides, many of the things you mention are philosophical, so it seems like no extra effort is required on your behalf.
